Subset: Trust vs Transactional relationships.
I am currently at my parents' place in Bangalore. A unique feature of their life is that there is a constant stream of friends & neighbors who visit them throughout the day (and randomly).

It drives me crazy but have to admit, their social support system is 10x mine.
This is a spectrum that is tough to understand but if rightly balanced, it brings all life in balance.
Community but not so dense. Privacy but not so isolationist.
