The reason a “directory” section exists on this site at all. Gwern’s site is what happens when someone treats their personal website as a decades-long project instead of a résumé. Essays get revised years after publishing. Everything is dated, sourced, and interlinked.

I don’t agree with all of it, and that’s not the point. The point is the posture: a website as a living body of work, tended like a garden. It’s the standard I’m quietly measuring this notebook against.
